Born in 1997 in Bristol, Zinsky’s paintings reflect the most explosive side of popular icons. His work explores colour, universal characters from every era and his portraits capture the essence of his subject in a way that sets his work apart from that of his contemporaries. Reinterpreting multimedia and layering it with the language of fine art, he embraces the world of pop culture and celebrity. He creates intricately painted portrayals of his subjects, fusing onto it the branding and advertising that invades our everyday lives. A rogue vision, a study of our times – his work is a visceral mirror of the modern world, reflecting pop goddesses, matinee idols, movie nostalgia, the pixel, neon colours, subculture, street art and graffiti.

He gained a dedicated following in the UK since he burst onto the scene with his first major solo London show in 2012. His work can now be found in galleries and private collections around the world. From 2001 to 2014 he alternated residence between Barcelona, Edinburgh and Brighton, since 2014 he has settled his home and studio in Segovia, Spain.
